It can be a harsh life for street dogs in Romania with extremely cold winters and the constant threat

of being caught by dog catchers and sent to kill shelters.

Anna Mary's Adoptions is a hard working group of volunteers whose mission is to support the

rescue, rehabilitation & adoption

of these Romanian street dogs, bringing them into suitable homes & families across the UK and Europe.

 Leaflets For Download

Our awesome new leaflets are here thanks to a very kind donation from a very special friend. We hope you like them as much as we do, we can't wait to show them off at our events over the next few months.

Our main A5 leaflet, is very comprehensive and contains a lot of lovely information about who we are and what we do.

Our smaller A4 leaflet contains the basic and essential information about how to contact us and get involved.

You can view and download both leaflets by right-clicking the link below, and choosing the option 'open link in a new window/tab'.

Who is Anna Mary?

Anna Mary is a brave young woman who has been rescuing stray dogs in her home town of Targoviste, Romania for the last 11 years. Along with her small team of friends and family on the ground, Anna Mary is making a real difference to these dogs lives. Anna Mary's purpose built private shelter provides street dogs with a safe place to live, regular food, vet checks and human attention for which they crave.

As well as running her own shelter, Anna Mary also feeds and cares for the street dogs that she cannot take into her rescue, due to lack of space and resources. She does this every day before and after her full time job, that she must keep as it is the main source of income to be able to support the 80 dogs in her care.
